Description: In this class, students will discover that Geography is much more than simple memorization of countries, capitals, and landmarks; it is forming deep connections with the world by exploring diverse landscapes and how people have interacted with those landscapes to develop rich and varied cultures. The goal of this class is for students to gain important information about the world while seeing the hand of God at every point of his creation, both the world in which we live and the people who call it home. Students will go on a journey throughout the 7 continents developing map skills, recognizing famous geographical landmarks, tasting a variety of ethnic dishes, reading stories from other cultures, creating art from other regions, learning traditional games, taking virtual field trips, identifying specific ways to pray for those in other countries, and more! The tutor hopes students will be inspired to live in a way that honors God’s design for His world and the people in it.
