Ashley Golden has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Power Distribution from Tennessee State University. She has been tutoring students in all levels of math and science since about 1998 (when she was in 7th grade). She finds joy in breaking down complicated concepts into manageable pieces. She began to truly enjoy math and science upon the realization that it describes the beauty of the universe that God created.

Course Description/Outline/Objectives:
The Calculated Kingdom is designed to help students build strong foundational math skills through engaging practice and mental math strategies. Students will work on mastering basic math facts—including addition, subtraction, multiplication (0–16), and division—while learning multiple techniques to calculate quickly and accurately in their heads. This is *not* a traditional math class—there are no grades, tests, or homework. Instead, the club focuses on fun, games, challenges, and confidence-building activities that strengthen number sense and support future math success.
Expected Weekly Time Commitment for Homework: 1 hour per week
Prerequisites: Elementary math (basic multiplication tables, addition, subtraction and division)
Recommended Grade Level: 5th-8th
