BIO     Renée Webb Sproles grew up in Murfreesboro, TN, graduating from Oakland High School in 1989. She and her husband, David, married in 1992 and have lived in Arkansas, Tennessee, Indiana, and North Carolina, returning home to Murfreesboro in the fall of 2011. Renée began homeschooling her two children, Emma and Houston, in 2005 and is passionate about helping others develop a Christian worldview. In 2014 during her 10th year of homeschooling, Renée also became the program coordinator for The School of Christian Thought. She is honored for God to use her many years of homeschooling experience as well as her degree in Public Relations from Harding University to develop the many facets of the School of Christian Thought, which now include a speaker series, accredited college coursework, a residential school of discipleship, and the discipleship tutorial.

Course Description/Outline/Objectives: 
This course will explore the physical, mental, social, and spiritual aspects of health and wellness.

  • Physical health will include a brief overview of the human body, nutrition, disease, and exercise.

  • Mental health will explore stress and anxiety, life skills, and self-image.

  • Social health will include personal grooming, risk taking, emergency situations, responsibility, and relationships.

  • Spiritual health will explore intentionality in spiritual growth and reaching our potential as we strive to do all things with excellence as Christ’s ambassadors.
