Course Description/Outline/Objectives:   According to bankrate.com, 1 in 4 Americans has no savings, and half of Americans cannot cover three month’s worth of expenses. A combination of education and practice will go a long way in raising up a generation who handles money wisely to the glory of God.

We truly believe Jesus’ words in Luke 16: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?” As part of a comprehensive Christian worldview, financial training is crucial.

Do Well – The Crown Biblical Financial Study Manual is the core curriculum for the Personal Finance course. It is a student-centered approach that is intended to blend education with real-world opportunities to practice what is learned. Students will be required to purchase the book. Supplemental material will be drawn from Dave Ramsey’s book, Foundations in Personal Finance. Purchase of this book is not required.
