At times, team projects may be assigned. Learning to identify each member's strengths and utilizing those strengths within teams is imperative. Involving everyone through positive collaboration and hard work consistently offers reward, both individually and collectively.
Annual Publication: DT Authors
Each semester, students submit work to be considered for DT Authors, a collection of writing by students of Discipleship Tutorial. Submission for the publication is open to all students; students in the writing lab are required to submit at least one entry.
Students Become Tutors:
One focus of the writing lab is to encourage students to develop as tutors. As students develop writing skills, they can better assist others. Students who show proficiency in this area may be invited to assist future classes as assistants in the writing lab. Such experience can offer benefits educationally and professionally.
Quite often, community businesses and / or individuals are more than willing to assist young writers. Donations of laptops, printers, and / or other supplies are appreciated.
